The AFJAGS leadership team looks forward to the next year of celebrations, and we are excited to announce our upcoming installments of The AFJAGS Podcast and The JAG Reporter that feature our heritage and imagine our path forward.
Celebrating the JAG Corps' 75th Anniversary
As we kick off our celebration for the 75th Anniversary of the JAG Corps here at The Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School (AFJAGS), we take time to celebrate our heritage and welcome the future. The halls of the schoolhouse are steeped in our heritage, from our small museum that has Chief Swigonski’s dress blues and Iraq War “most wanted” playing cards to the names engraved on our walls that commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service of the country. Our history becomes our heritage, and we ensure that our students understand our legacy within this learning environment.
We welcome our Corps’ future through brand new judge advocates and paralegals in our technical training here at Maxwell Air Force Base. AFJAGS students learn not only military traditions, but also what it means to be a part of the JAG Corps family. And across the Corps, we thank those from the field who have provided their expertise to our students and who have helped us grow and mold the next generation of leaders.
The AFJAGS leadership team looks forward to the next year of celebrations, and we are excited to announce our upcoming installments of the AFJAGS Podcasts and The JAG Reporter that feature our heritage and imagine our path forward. We hope when you come home to AFJAGS in the next year, you take time to reflect on our history, and how you will play a part in contributing to the future of the Corps.
